For several months I accompanied Wes Bodine, a farmer in Stockton, NJ, to see how run a farm. It started out as just that, "What is all the work that goes into a farm?" A month or two passed by and it became more than the jobs that needed to be done. This story became an in depth look at the work he does, why he decided to become a farmer, and where he believes his farm is going to end up. Is it going to stay in business or is it going to fall to empty silos, barns, and fields?

For four months I followed a farmer who worked on a farm his entire life. I show the land he proudly calls his own and all the work he does to prepare for seasons to keep it going. Unfortunately the farm is not as affluent as it use to be.

The downfall of small town farms

No one realizes how much time and hard work goes into growing everyday foods that you can just pick up at the super market. Large big name companies are killing local town farmers.
